Job Summary
Occupational therapists help people with mental, physical or social disabilities to independently carry out their everyday tasks or occupations. They work with children and adults of all ages, whose difficulties may have been presence since birth, or the result of an accident, illness, ageing or lifestyle
Responsibilities
- Provide Occupational therapy to patients
- Providing aids and rehabilitation to patients
- teach anxiety management techniques;
- Undertaking and reviewing assessments of patients in consultation with other health professionals.
- coach people with learning difficulties or poor social skills, e.g. in handling money and social interaction;
- mentor people on how to control their own behavior;
- liaise with a wide variety of other professionals, such as doctors, physiotherapists, social workers, equipment suppliers and architects, as well as patients’ families, careers and employers;manage a caseload, prioritizing needs, and completing administrative tasks such as patient and budgetary records
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate must have a degree in Occupational therapy or related course.
- Must be loving and be willing to work with challenged people
- Very innovative and creative
- Patient and Passionate for the job
Remuneration
N30,000 - N40,000 monthly
