Responsibilities:
To assure optimal and safe utilization of existing producing and terminal facilities for enhanced oil and gas production by facilities / process optimization and surveillance engineering activities.

The surveillance & optimisation team works with its production operations customers to enhance oil & gas production and deliver highest return on investment from their hydrocarbon opportunities by:

- Identifying and selecting the optimum facilities concept by working in and leading integrated discipline/business teams.
- Optimising the asset performance/maintain asset integrity throughout its lifetime.
- Finding innovative and cost effective engineering solutions that are integrated into the TECOP spectrum,to unlock reserves and to optimise and improve production capacities of the surface facilities.

Other responsibilities include:
  • Provide front-line engineering support to Operations & Maintenance for all producing assets and terminals to ensure reduction in production deferments and optimal utilization of surface facilities.
  • Proactively monitor and plan surface intervention by surveillance teams; monitor operating performance to ensure optimized performance of producing facilities and asset integrity.
  • Establish and maintain operating envelops and limit diagrams for all producing facilities and terminal in order to ensure optimal and safe use of facilities.
  • Build and maintain process models (UNISIM,PIPESIM,GAP etc.) for all producing facilities and terminals where required,to ensure production optimization and availability of design data.
  • Undertake process & optimization studies for assets as and when required.
  • Ensure full time participation by surveillance & optimization engineers in Asset WRM activities to maximize production from existing facilities.
  • Ensure optimized and safe use of existing producing facilities by proposing modifications in hard ware or process,where necessary. Manage resistance to change in complying with operating limits within recommended envelops by asset operations.
  • Facilitate,review,and assist asset operations & maintenance to secure approvals for Technical Change Requests to ensure technical and safety integrity of all producing facilities and terminal are maintained.
  • Carry out reviews of existing facilities to maximize throughput of hydrocarbons and propose modifications required to meet production targets and comply with HSE objectives.
  • Optimise process flow schemes,which maximize the product yield and economic performance of facilities whilst achieving HSE objectives based on the ALARP concept.
  • Carry out periodic review of assets as part of surveillance activities to ensure that producing facilities meet stipulated minimum functional requirements and Process safety.
  • Carry out surface facilities and production systems surveillance engineering activities to ensure updated facilities database and technical integrity of all producing facilities.

Requirements:
  • A University degree preferably in chemical / mechanical engineering. A minimum of 10 years experience in process / facilities eng.
  • Knowledge of simulation tools e.g., UNISIM, IPSM-GAP, PIPESIM, etc.
  • Strong conceptual, innovative, and systems thinking ability.
  • Understanding of subsurface, operations, and maintenance working processes.
  • Good communication, inter personal, and leadership skills.
  • Team player, self motivated, coaching skills, persistence, with ability to think outside- the- box.
