Job Description

Amongst other duties, the MDS will:
  • Facilitate Plant Achievement Of The Manufacturing Strategy And Provide Leadership For VPO
  • Facilitate The Identification And Selection Of Plant Improvement Projects
  • Facilitate The Implementation Of Plant Improvement Projects.
  • Demonstrate Knowledge Of Financial Management
  • Demonstrate Knowledge Of Plant Process And Operations
  • Drive effective implementation of Voyage Plant Optimisation (VPO) in the Plant
  • Demonstrate Knowledge Of Health, Safety, Environment And Risk In The Plant
  • Demonstrate Knowledge Of Human Resources Management
  • Communicate Effectively In The Workplace
Qualifications and Experience
The occupant of this position should possess:
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Science or equivalents
  • Ideal:  Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)
  • 3-4 years in a supervisory /Team Leader’s position in a Multi-shift production FMCG business environ
  • High level of computer and systems literacy
  • Prior responsibility for production (quality ,cost, reliability) advantageous
  • Good knowledge of Modern Asset care Principles.
