Job Title: Corporate Communications & Social Media Manager

Location
: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Requirements/Experience
  • B.Sc in Journalism, Communications, Business, Public Relations Education or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of corporate, agency or public-sector public relations experience.
Skills/Competencies:
  • Excellent writing, communications, issues and project management skills.
  • Experience as a professional communicator with a focus on corporate relations and internal communications.
  • Experience with digital content management and story telling.
  • Ability to translate complex material into comprehensible language for targeted audiences.
  • Strategic thinking; communications strategy planning, creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to manage projects, including videos and Q&A briefing documents against tight deadlines.
  • Corporate/agency experience required
  • Associated Press style required
  • Knowledge of web and social media technology
  • Strong initiative and follow-thru skills, ability to work with minimal day-to-day supervision
  • Ability to wear multiple hats.
