Job Title: Finance and Administrative Officer

Locations: Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Port Harcourt

Job Description
  • DevTech is seeking a Finance & Administrative Officer to support the Finance Manager and the Director of Operations in the management of regional office finance and operation activities, for the Support for Strategic Information and Project Management Services (S4SIPMS).
  • The officer will be responsible for monitoring regional offices expenditures and ensuring compliance with USAID and DevTech procedures. This will be a full-time position with benefits, based in either: Abuja, Lagos, Kano, or Port Harcourt. Only Nigerian applicants will be considered.
Responsibilities
  • Implementing administrative processes, applying the rules, regulations and procedures of DevTech and USAID.
  • Preparing necessary documentation, reviewing and performing calculations in order to comply with each of these processes to achieve timely results and ensure effective service delivery
  • Accompanying technical teams to the field to ensure logistics and supporting documents for expenditures.
  • Ensuring timely approval and payment procedures
  • Preparation of field office financial and other administrative reports
  • Pro-actively ensuring that the office functions well and efficiently ensure office equipment and supplies maintained within budget.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for vendors and arranging meetings with vendors.
  • Acting as point of contact for office maintenance and security.
  • Ensuring office procedures are kept up-to-date and communicated to staff.
  • Organizing staff events, including off-site planning, and staff development events.
  • Assisting with staff transportation, accommodation and other travel related tasks.
  • Providing regular updates of all planning processes and practices for project activities.
  • Oversee the operations of the regional office;
  • Responsible for petty cash disbursement and ensure proper reconciliation and replenishment in the regional office.
  • Negotiate competitive prices and manage relationships with project vendors, including, but not limited to internet, cell phones, telephone lines, printers and stationary, couriers, hotel and lodging, among others;
  • Assist in vendor source selection;
  • Assist in report production and distribution.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations, Finance Manager and Regional Data Manager.
Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience managing USG/USAID contracts, including experience in supporting finance, procurement, operations, administration, logistics and human resource tasks.
  • Knowledge of financial software applications, including Quickbooks and others.
  • S/he will have demonstrated progressive experience working in the field of finance and compliance with knowledge of USAID requirements
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
