Obafemi Awolowo University is a comprehensive public institution established in 1962 as The University of Ife. The University is situated on a vast expanse of land totaling 11,861 hectares in Ile-Ife, Osun State, southwest of Nigeria.

Requirements
- Candidates applying for the position of Senior Lecturer (English Education) must possess a minimum of Second Class Lower Division First degree in Education English, with either a Master or Doctorate degree in the same field.
- In addition, applicants should possess a Master or Doctorate degree in Curriculum Studies from a recognized university in Nigeria.
- Applicants should have a minimum of twelve (12) publications in reputable journals including a minimum of 20% off-shore publications.
- Applicants should have a minimum of five (5) years teaching experience in a recognized College of Education or University and should have attended a minimum of five (5) conferences.
- Applicants are expected to be computer literate.
