The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable candidates for the position below at the Institute's Station in Kano.
Job Title: Mechanic II - Kano Station (2-year renewable contract)
Duties
- Routine service and maintenance of official vehicles and plants
- Minor repairs on plumbing and electrical activities
- Participate in the purchase of vehicle parts
- Keep records of maintenance work done
- Carry out other duties that may be assigned by supervisor
Qualification and Experience
- OND/Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering or related field plus (5) years relevant post-qualification working experience.
The candidate must:
- have a very good knowledge of general repairs, fittings and plumbing
- have a very good knowledge of records management
- have good interpersonal and communication skills
- possess a valid driver’s license
- Be honest and hardworking
- Be a good team player and be able to follow instructions
