Job Title: Retail /Business Development Executive
Location: Lekki, Lagos
Reporting to: General Manager
Job Objective
- To effectively supervise and direct the activities of the Retail store officers
- Develop, establish and maintain sales & marketing strategies to meet set targets
- To ensure cost minimization and profit maximization
- Foster strategic partnership with store suppliers and vendors
Job Responsibilities
- Conceiving, preparing and developing efficient and intuitive promotional and marketing strategies to increase sales and footfalls in the store.
- Identify new opportunities to drive retail sales performance in the stores; identify potential distribution optimization
- Drive retail sales performance by working on the shop-floor during key trading periods alongside store staff to generate product awareness
- Sell products and provide a high standard of service to customers throughout the sales experience following all training guidelines and service
- Achieve retail sales targets and key performance indicators
- Ensure retail store officers understand the uses and features of all stocked products
- Motivate, monitor, inspire and empower staff to achieve retail sales by using professional selling techniques
- Set and monitor collective / individual store targets
- Ensure retail store officers are fully aware of any Marketing Plan, promotion, events etc
- Ensuring best standard merchandising; Ensuring optimum image and efficiency; encourage store officers to follow these guidelines.
- Develop a network of strong relationships with key stakeholders, to meet the objectives of the Brand & the personal objectives of the company
- Ensure timely and satisfactory resolution of all customer complaints/issues
- Developing new business, identifying new sales opportunities,
- Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
- Design Process and procedure for various store operations and ensure compliance
- Responsible for staff retention, training, supervision and appraisal
Requirements
- First Degree in Social Science or related discipline.
- At least 3-4 years' experience in a retail role, with some field based experience
- Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft suite - MS Excel, Word, Power Point
- Proficiency with social media skills
