Ekiti State University, Ado-Ekiti (EKSU) was formed in 2011 as a result of merger between the University of Ado-Ekiti (former Ondo State University), the University of Education, Ikere-Ekiti and University of Science and Technology, Ifaki-Ekiti. The new University owned by Ekiti State Government of Nigeria, has brought together a combination of the rich academic goals, sound moral culture and social values of the former universities

Admission Requirements
Basic Requirement
- All applicants seeking admission into any of the Master degree and PGD programmes listed below must have five Credit passes at 'O’ Level Including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.
Master of Business Administration/Master of Business Administration (Executive)
Applicants must possess the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) from a recognized university in any discipline.
- Bachelors degree (3rd Class) plus Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized university.
Note
- A minimum of one year post qualification managerial/administrative experience is mandatory for all applicants.
- In the case of M.B.A. (Executive), applicants who possess a Bachelors degree with a minimum of Second Class Lower Division or Higher National Diploma with minimum of Upper Credit plus POD with a minimum of Upper Credit in fields other than Administration and are in Managerial positions may be considered.
Master of Public Administration
- Bachelors degree not below Second Class Lower Division from a recognized University in the Social and Management Sciences.
- Bachelors degree (3rd Class) plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit in Management Sciences and other relevant areas from a recognized university.
- Applicants without a background in the Social and Management Sciences must have PGD in Management or cognate fields with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized university.
Master of Personnel Management
- Bachelors degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) in the Social Sciences from a recognized university.
- Bachelors degree (3rdClass) plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized University.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit plus PGD from a recognized university.
Note
- Applicants without a background in the Social and Management Sciences must have PGD in Public Administration and other relevant fields with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized university.
Masters of Industrial & Labour Relations
- Bachelors degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) from a recognized university in Social and Management Sciences.
- Bachelors degree (3rd Class) plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit from a recognized university in Administration, Industrial Relations and cognate fields.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant disciplines from a recognized university.
Note
- Applicants must have a minimum of two years cognate experience in the field of Industrial Relations and Personnel Management, General Management and Public Administration.
Master of Recreation & Tourism
- Bachelors degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) in the Social and Management Sciences and related disciplines from a recognized university.
- Bachelors degree (3rd Class) plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant disciplines from a recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant courses from a recognized university.
Master of Information Technology
- Bachelors degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) preferably in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or any related discipline from a recognized university.
- Bachelors degree (3rd Class) plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant areas from a recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit, in relevant disciplines from a recognized university.
Master of Environmental Management
- Bachelors degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) in Biology, Chemistry, Geology, Microbiology, Geography, Environmental and Management Sciences, and other related disciplines from a recognized university,
- Bachelors degree (3rd Class) plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant disciplines from a recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit In relevant disciplines from a recognized university
Master of Petroleum Economics
- Bachelors degree (not below Second Class Lower Division) in Social and Management Sciences and related disciplines from a recognized university.
- Bachelors degree (3rd Class) plus PGD with a minimum of Upper Credit in related disciplines from a recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit plus PGD (not below Upper Credit) in relevant disciplines from a recognized university
Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Management
- Bachelors degree (not below 3rd Class) in Management Sciences, Economics and related disciplines from a recognized university.
- Bachelors degree (with at least Second Class Lower Division) in disciplines not related to Management, from a recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant courses from a recognized institution
Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration
- Bachelors degree (not below 3 Class) in Political Science and related disciplines from a recognized university.
- Bachelors degree (with at least Second Class Lower Division) in areas not related to Administration from a recognized university.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of Upper Credit in relevant courses from a recognized institution.
Postgraduate Diploma in Computer Science
- Bachelors degree (with a minimum of 3rd Class) in relevant disciplines.
- Higher National Diploma with a minimum of upper Credit in relevant disciplines from a recognized institution.

Method Of Application
Interested applicants are to follow the underlisted procedures
- Pay the application fee and obtain a teller at the designated banks: Wema, Zenith, Enterprise, Ecobank and Access Banks in Ado Ekiti and obtain the admissions scratch card.
- Use the card to download application form.
- Attach photocopies of credentials to the completed application form and submit at the School of postgraduate Studies.
