Job Tittle: Program Coordinator,Sustainable Total Sanitation- Nigeria(STS-Nigeria) Project(1 year fixed term renewable).



Location:  Abuja

Responsibilities:
  • This role will oversee programme planning and delivery; programme monitoring and reporting; communication & partnership liaison and staff management on a new programme which seeks to consolidate WaterAid's years of work to improve effectiveness, efficiency, inclusiveness and sustainability of sanitation approaches in 3 states of Nigeria.
  • Provide day to day coordination towards achievement of the project goals and ensuring the integration of the project's activities with broader WaterAid in Nigeria programme priorities.
Qualifications:
  • The ideal person for this position would possess an undergraduate and Master'sdegrees in the natural ,physical or social sciences.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience, of which at least 5 of which must be in a senior development programme management or coordination role; strong demonstrable experience in the effective management and delivery of complex community based development projects with multiple stakeholder in a developing country context; experience with managing multiple project stakeholders including community level stakeholders, government  officials; donors etc;
  • Excellent competencies in writing project reports; strong demonstrable experience with managing people in a direct supervisory role and strong experience with implementation of an action learning and research project in a development setting.
