Job Title: Director, Works & Services
Duties
The Director of Works & Services heads the department. The holder of the position will be responsible to the Rector for the overall control of the Works and Services Department on the following specific schedule:
- Overall control of the Works and Estate Department.
- Formulating divisional strategies. to achieve the Institutional goals.
- Planning and controlling the technical activities of the Works department
- Advising the Rector on the acquisition, operation and maintenance of all Institution assets.
- Preparing Work’s Division Budget and exercising budget control.
- Keeping an inventory of all Institution Vehicles and has responsibility of their maintenance, security and upkeep.
- Supervision of all staff in the Department
Qualification
- Candidates for this post must be holders of First degree in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a reputable University.
- The possession of a higher degree will be an advantage.
- An eligible - candidate must be a COREN Registered Engineer with at least 15 years post qualification cognate experience in projects/works management.
- Candidates must not be below the rank of Chief Engineer.
