Adexen Recruitment Agency is looking for a Principal Project Engineer for a leading consulting firm that deals in consulting Mechanical, Electrical, and Piping engineering projects. They handle aspects of Mechanical, Electrical and Piping (plumbing) engineering planning, design and supervisory services for residential, commercial and industrial buildings on major construction projects.

Job Description
- The Principal Project Engineer will be responsible for ensuring production of designs meet client's requirements. He will also be in charge of coordinating scope of works and drawing list, preparation of preliminary design, budget estimate preparation of detail design for the various engineering systems, checking of drafted drawing and amendments, preparation of technical specification and support of installations.
- He/She will report to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities for this position shall include but not limited to the following:
- Responsible for quality of the design
- Manage portfolio of projects
- Assist with Project coordination and schedule
- Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems
- Producing a complete and accurate set of plans for structures in a project
- Determines project specifications by studying product design
- Handle all clients relations for the company on assigned project
- Direct the work of a group of Senior Project Engineers, CAD Drafters e.t.c
- Meets all requirements of a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer
Qualifications and Skills
- B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years experience in consulting engineering
- Membership of COREN or NSE is an advantage
- Good knowledge of HVAC equipment selection program & HEVACOP M&E design program
- Must be excellent in the use of AutoCAD
- Strong Computer Skills, especially in MS Project & MS office
- Should be detail oriented, articulate and proactive
- Good communication and presentation skills
- National Engineering program specification (Database).
