Job Title: Financial Controller (Preferably Expatriate)
Job Description
- The Financial Controller has the primary responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial related activities of the company.
- This will include direct responsibility for accounting, taxation, finance, budgeting, product costing, project cost analysis and evaluation, investor relationships, government agents’ relationships as well as banking and treasury management. The desired candidate must have headed accounts department in a best practice environment and must have produced necessary daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual plans and reports for management decision making.
Qualifications and Experience
- The ideal candidate should have a first degree or equivalent in accounting or related fields and must be a member of a recognized accounting body. An MBA will be added advantage.
- Minimum of 12 years work experience out of which at least 5 years must have been spent in a managerial position and at least 5 years performing similar functions as head, financial control or accounts.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office suite is desired as well as hands on experience in the use of accounting software or ERP.
- Few years’ work experience in audit will be desirable while work experience in a trading concern will be added advantage.
