Obafemi Awolowo University is a comprehensive public institution established in 1962 as The University of Ife. The University is situated on a vast expanse of land totaling 11,861 hectares in Ile-Ife, Osun State, southwest of Nigeria.

Requirements
- Candidate applying for the post of Technologist I should possess HND or its equivalent in Science Laboratory Technology (Geology Option) plus MNIST with three (3) years post qualification experience or B.Sc/B.Tech in Science Laboratory Technology (Geology Option) plus MNIST with three (3) years post qualification experience.
- The Candidate must possess good knowledge of wet Geochemistry, application and working principles of AAS, XRF, XRD etc
