Responsibilities
- You will be expected to provide strategic direction, structure and leadership of IT with the right corporate governance.
- This is an autonomous role, which requires someone who is comfortable with decision-making. You must possess good relational management skills with technology providers, especially regarding tangible investments (computer hardware, software, data, networks and data centre facilities), as well as with the staff who maintain these resources.
- You must also have comprehensive knowledge of the basic management functions
- Preparing budget requirements and forecasts
- Managing the IT Department and providing integrated IT Service management
- Developing and Managing Change Control procedures
- Performing testing and quality assurance
- Other aspects that are unique to technology, like software design,technical support etc.
- You will have the flexibility to implement new procedures and systems to improve the smooth running of business operations.
Qualifications
- A good degree in Computer Science, Engineering or any of the numerate sciences
- ITIL qualifications and demonstrable IT Security awareness
- Relevant professional certifications such as MCITP, MCTS, CCNA, A+,Security +, MCPD etc. -- will provide an added advantage.
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years work experience in an automated computing environment with at least five (5) years at managerial level
