Job Title: Telecommunications Engineer
Location: Any City, Nigeria
Roles & Responsibilities
- To maintain familiarity with the technical set-up of all local sites in order to provide effective and development functions.
- To gather local user requirements (both onshore and offshore) and instigate continuous improvement of existing services (in conjunction with remote IT Group), through the use of project planning and control principles.
- To liaise with and develop relationship with telecommunication carriers in order to identify cost effective Wide Area Network, voice and internet solutions.
- To work with member of the local and remote IT Groups in preparing strategic solutions on a global basis.
- Development of monitoring and reporting tools in order to gauge the level of system performance.
- Management of 3rd party contractors, including the definition and award of contracts, the ongoing management of contractor and the search for new and professional companies.
- To liaise with, and support internal IT groups and manage 3rd party telecomm contractors to maintain up to date documentation and version control.
Education, Experience & Attribute
- Minimum of university degree, HND, in respective areas of study as indicated.
- Minimum of 6 years’ experience.
- Cognate experience in Oil & Gas, Real Estate and Property Development, Power Generation, Renewable Energy & Agriculture industry as applicable to job title respectively.
- Candidates should be willing to work in any part of Nigeria and Africa.
- Honesty, commitment, hardworking and self-motivation.
