Job Title: Internal Control, Audit & Compliance Officer
Locations: Any City, Nigeria
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conducts and directs audits and ongoing reviews of organization controls, operating procedures, and compliance with policies and regulations.
- Reviews and appraises the soundness, effectiveness, and proper application of accounting and financial controls, compliance procedures and controls and timeliness of documentation generation.
- Assesses the adequacy and extent of programs designed to safeguard organization assets.
- Compiles and issues reports detailing conclusions and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Recommends employee training and modifications to procedures as needed.
- Serves as liaison for all external audit and regulatory agencies.
- Ensures compliance with company requirements is achieved and reported on.
- Acts as liaison with external bodies such as the Auditor, Regulatory Authorities, i.e. FIRS, LIRS in scoping audit activity and assisting in preparation for external audit.
- Collect, audit, prepare, analyze and present both qualitative and quantitative data in written report form, including statistical analysis, using computer statistical presentations for senior management, that highlights areas of perceived risk, through the decision making process.
- Facilitate organizational change through the audit process, by enforcing audit procedures and their recommended outcomes company wide.
- Prepare annual audit schedule and methodologies for reaching out and plans for all functions and departments.
- Look for opportunities to enhance your capabilities and that of other staff under your group to strengthen internal controls.
Education, Experience & Attribute
- Minimum of a University Degree/HND in related areas of study as indicated
- At least 5 years work experience.
- Cognate experience in Oil & Gas, Real Estate and Property Development, Power Generation, Renewable Energy & Agriculture industry as applicable to the job title respectively.
- Candidates should be willing to work in any part of Nigeria and Africa.
- Honesty, commitment, hardworking and self-motivation.
