Job Title: Software Engineer
Location: Nigeria
Role Summary
- The Software Engineer will work with the development team to create, enhance and maintain software applications.
- He/She will be involved in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle of products and will influence key areas for improvement on existing products/projects.
Essential Responsibilities
- Analyze, design, and develop software product with focus to driving end-to-end technical solutions for customers
- Maintain existing systems
- Write well-designed, testable, secure and well performing code
- Requirement analysis and clarification
- Test products before go live
- Prepare, design and architectural documents
- Product Specifications
- Conduct code reviews
- Write unit tests
- Work with a scrum team in an agile environment
Qualifications
- A First class or Second class upper degree in Computer Science/Engineering or a related discipline
- 3-5 years proven work experience as a software engineer
Recommended Skills:
- Proficient in Java
- Familiar with relational and non-relational databases, and ORM technologies
- Experience developing & using at least one popular web development framework (spring mvc, angular, react)
- Familiar with Version control systems
- Familiar with Linux Operating system
- Mathematical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills
- Familiar with unit testing and automated testing tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills
