To drive the achievement this mandate, the Commission seeks to recruit qualified professionals for vacant positions in the Office of the Chairman and its 6 specialized Divisions.

NERC is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Analyst, Finance

Job Summary:

The Analyst, Finance will be responsible for providing financial and accounting support. The job holder will report to the Manager Finance. Copied from: www.hotnigerianjobs.com

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensures that monthly bank statements are collected from banks
  • Processes contract payments
  • Processes payment for vehicle maintenance and all other admin expenses
  • Prepares and posts Payment Vouchers and journals
  • Sends all vouchers processed raise for scheduling to AGM (F&A) and Internal Audit for pre-payment auditing
  • Checks all vouchers for scheduling, have internal Audit approval before scheduling for payment
  • Prepares payment schedules to banks inspect of all payment and ensure that they are timely delivered to the banks
  • Receives all in coming cheques and issue receipts
Required Knowledge and Skills
The ideal person for this position must be/possess:
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and others at all levels in the organization

  • Proficient in the use of the computer, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint

Educational / Professional Qualification(s)
  • Must be a graduate in Accounting (or related disciplines)
  • Professional qualification will be an added advantage
Work Experience
  • Minimum of 4 years post-graduation experience working in a finance department of a reputable public or private sector organisation
