The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is the independent regulatory agency mandated by Government to monitor and regulate the electricity industry in Nigeria. The Commission is committed to promoting and ensuring efficient market structures and an investor-friendly industry to meet Nigeria's need for safe, adequate, reliable and affordable electricity.

To drive the achievement this mandate, the Commission seeks to recruit qualified professionals for vacant positions in the Office of the Chairman and its 6 specialized Divisions.

NERC is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Office Assistant, Secretariat

Location:
Any City, Nigeria

Job Description
  • The Office Assistant is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support in the Secretariat of the Commission.
Key Responsibilities
This person will assist in:
  • Handling and processing mails
  • Providing clerical support
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Answering and routing telephone calls
  • Directing visitors to appropriate resources and places
  • Preparing for meetings and special events.
Qualifications and Skills
  • OND in Secretarial Studies, Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar secretarial position
  • Good spoken and written English communication skills
  • Ability to type accurately, and conversant with MS Office suite
  • Organisational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Reliable, honest and trustworthy
  • Customer friendly personality and disposition.
