The
Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is the independent regulatory agency mandated by Government to monitor and regulate the electricity industry in Nigeria. The Commission is committed to promoting and ensuring efficient market structures and an investor-friendly industry to meet Nigeria's need for safe, adequate, reliable and affordable electricity.
To drive the achievement this mandate, the Commission seeks to recruit qualified professionals for vacant positions in the Office of the Chairman and its 6 specialized Divisions.
NERC is recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Analyst, Librarian
Location: Any City, Nigeria
Job Description
- The Analyst, who also doubles as the Commission's Librarian, manages the Commission's library.
- The job holder reports to the Deputy General Manager Industry Studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Organises and manages the paper and electronic filing systems used by the various project teams in the Division
- Maintains the template filing structures and their locations
- Coordinates mandatory project documentation templates, including version control
- Conducts regular audits to track that mandatory documents have been created and are being maintained
- Provides support for preparation for project audits, ensuring all necessary documentation are completed and approved
- Maintains the database of books, records and files
- Produces management reports.
Qualifications and Skills
- A first degree in Library Science.
- Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience working in a similar function.
- Able to develop strategy to track the Commission's books.
- Must be good in Microsoft office packages, such as Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Excellent document/records management and archiving.
- Proficient if the use of the computer.
- Good organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-conscious.
