The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) is the independent regulatory agency mandated by Government to monitor and regulate the electricity industry in Nigeria. The Commission is committed to promoting and ensuring efficient market structures and an investor-friendly industry to meet Nigeria's need for safe, adequate, reliable and affordable electricity.

To drive the achievement this mandate, the Commission seeks to recruit qualified professionals for vacant positions in the Office of the Chairman and its 6 specialized Divisions.

NERC is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Title: Assistant Manager, Data Analysis and Management

Location:
Any City, Nigeria

Job Description
  • The Assistant Manager, Data Analysis and Management is to acquire, analyse and process data from stakeholders.
  • The job holder reports to the Assistant General Manager, Consumer Service Standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assists and supports in acquisition, analysis and processing of consumer related data of Distribution Licensees in line with key performance indicators
  • Assists in obtaining information directly from Distribution Licensees and Customers
  • Provides support in tracking the performance of the Electricity Sector in relation to consumer matters using key indicators; and ensuring that the Commission proffers effective regulation
  • Carries out effective analysis of monthly complaints reports from the Distribution Licensees
  • Carries out effective analysis of monthly KPI reports from the Distribution Licensees
  • Implements the approved consumer service standards projects and report to the Manager Data Analysis and Management.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Candidates must have a University degree in Computer Science, Business Information System or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of 6 years post-graduation experience.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian Electricity Sector.
  • Ability to interpret and present complex data clearly (in simple and understandable formats).
  • Proficient in the use of one or more statistical package.
  • Good public relations.
  • An understanding of managing inter-dependencies between related projects.
  • Good verbal, listening and communication skills.
  • Analytical skills.
