Job Title: Facility/Business Manager

Job Description
  • We wish to employ an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, motivated and highly organised individual with good communication and interpersonal skills to fill the position of Facility/Business Manager for our event centre.
Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders including customers, colleague and suppliers
  • Conduct market research, identify event opportunities and generate new business relationships for the centre
  • Oversee the security, maintenance and services of the facility to ensure that they meet the needs of the customers
  • Oversee and provide event logistics coordination, ensures proper scheduling of set up for events, sitting arrangements, and work with project managers with regard to all events at the center
  • Manage all event documentation, from budgets, receipts, contracts, contact lists, guest lists, etc.
  • Develop business development strategy that promotes services and profitability
  • Manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters, e-newsletter among others.
  • Oversee and agree contracts and provides for services including security, parking, cleaning, technology
  • Supervise multi-disciplinary teams of staff including cleaning, maintenance, grounds and security
  • Manage budgets and ensuring cost-effectiveness
  • Ensure that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards
  • Conduct pre- and post – event evaluations and report on outcomes.
Educational Qualifications/ Work experience
  • First degree from a reputable higher institution
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in managing corporate facilities.
  • Knowledge of basic Accounting and Finance Principles
  • Proven experience as an event coordinator or Manager
  • Sound knowledge in technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practices is an added advantage.

  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to plan and prioritize work schedules according to deadlines.
  • Must be between 35 - 40years old.
