Job Title: IP/MPLS Support Engineer

Job Description:
- Articulate high level understanding of multi-services platforms, routing protocols ISIS / RIP / RSVP / OSPF / BGP / iBGP / and trouble shooting down to packet level
- Articulate In depth knowledge of IP/MPLS protocols, NMS systems, firewalls, Cisco works, CIC etc.
- Layer 2 and 3 VPN understanding
- Implement VoIP and IP Telephony in a Telco and Large IP Networks including integration and configuration
- In depth understanding of QoS, Diffserv Traffic shaping and traffic QoS policy implementation
- Ensure Security and preventative measures for unauthorised access
- Implement firewalling technologies and network access control methodologies.
- Implement mile business connectivity access technologies like ADSL,WiFi,Wimax.
- Ensure Network Related Fault Clearance Rate and availability.
- Perform New Node implementation and cut over
- Provide Emergency Maintenance on IP/MPLS Network / High Level trouble shooting
- Achieve Planned Works Completion rate
- Ensure quality roll-out of new Data/services working with Marketing and IP System planning.
- Liase with IP vendors, Interfacing with TAC centres and Vendor Tier 2 and 3 support staff
Job Conditions:
- Open Plan Office Environment Extra Hours would be required occasionally.
Required Skills:
- At least 4 Years high level support of a large Enterprise Environment
- Demonstrate knowledge in the implementation of QoS Policies
- knowledge of interworking with TAC and other Cisco services
- Prior experience in Service Provider and ISP Functionality is key
Qualification:
- B.Sc Computer Science / B.Sc Electrical Engineering Cisco Certification to Professional Level required with a bias in MPLS Technology CCIE certification highly recommended
