Job Title: Vessel Coordinator

Job Description
  • Plan and carry out loading and offloading activities in cooperation with the Shore Base Manager for all contracted MOA Support Vessels.
  • Maintain daily, weekly and monthly reports of vessel details and activities: cargoes loaded / offloaded; time in / time out.
  • Assist vessel agents and masters with crew change and provisioning.
  • Coordinate fuel requirements for support vessels with supplier, Shore base Manager and vessel master. Maintain document files of these activities.
  • Assist Project Manager and Shore Base Supervisor with future planning with respect to on-going and upcoming vessel operations.
  • Liaise with Shore Base Supervisor / Coordinator along with Quayside, Cargo Operations, Tubular Operations and Lifting and Compliance Assistants as required to ensure safe and efficient loading and offloading and onward transfer of incoming and outgoing materials to and from the vessels for the drilling operations.
  • Have the assigned vessels fit for purpose in the broadest sense to execute the projects as required;
  • Liaise with Logistic Engineers on logistic process optimisation;
  • Support the Project Manager with port calls in preparation for offshore execution and mobilizations;
  • Assist the Project Manager and Technical Department in maintenance and updating vessel and equipment, operation manuals, implementation of new statutory and project requirements;
  • Co-ordinate all onshore support to the vessels during execution of the offshore work;
  • Fulfill administrative duties.
Qualifications Required
  • B.Sc/M.Sc Nautical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics Engineering or equivalent;
  • Previous relevant experience, + 5 years, preferably in an offshore or marine environment;
  • Results driven, decisive, hands-on mentality and flexible personality;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • English fluent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software; excel, word, power point,
  • Minimum five years’ experience - in offshore support activities; marine base coordinator / assistant supervisor, etc.
