We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: WASH Assistant - PHP&NFI

Job Summary
  • The position is based in Monguno, Borno State and directly supervised by the WASH Officer-PHP&NFI.
  • The WASH Assistant is responsible for the mobilization of the communities with the aim of promoting and improving hygiene practices.
Task and Responsibilities
  • Participate in the implementation of the hygiene promotion and the water Management’s activities.
  • Collect data, develop reports including compliance with Action Against Hunger feedback mechanism.
  • Build and maintain relationship with local partners and community.
  • Monitor the progress of activities and the impact of the sensitizing sessions.
  • Assist in the training of community mobilizers and volunteers.
  • Participate in the archiving and the capitalization of the program’s documents.
Requirements
  • Minimum of National diploma in Health, Hygiene and Sanitation field.
  • Previous experience in hygiene promotion and community mobilization.
  • Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited.
  • Capacity to be adaptable and flexible.
  • Fluency in Hausa and English.
  • Commitment to Action Against Hunger mission, values and policy.

  • Good knowledge of the intervention area/s and local economy.
