Job Title: Network and System Administrator
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities are:
- Staff Support and Customer Service (Help Desk)
- Network Maintenance and Information Technology (IT)
- Assistance and recommendations follow-up for Headquarters IT Manager
- Remote work with Headquarters IT department
- Preventive maintenance and optimization of servers, computers and devices
- Solve problems quickly and communicate with related teams as needed
Required Skills & Qualifications (you will have to justify every line here)
- Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Computer Networks, or related technical discipline Experience in linux administration, network design and monitoring, VoIP or Asterisk management
- Minimum of 1 year experience in system and network management in a professional environment
- Proven ability to work independently on important projects
- French understanding would be a plus
Preferred Skills and Qualities:
- Administration experience with Linux/CentOS
- Professional experience on Asterisk
- Proficiency with PRTG, Nagios, Wireshark...
- Experience in mobile networks: 3G, GSM, USSD
- Experience in computer asset management
- Experience in database administration and data mining
- Ability to develop and support teams with data analytics (designing dashboards, reporting, etc.)
- Ability to work in a team and willing to do some team management
- Strategic thought process and strong decision-making capabilities based on data analytics
- Creative and versatile approach to problem-solving; solution-oriented
- Proven, strong communication skills and ability to work cross-culturally
- A strong sense of humor and an open mind
