A Leading Furniture and Interior company located in Ogun State, is currently recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Lead Carpenter (Assembler)
Location: Ogun
Responsibilities
- Prepare drawings for cabinetry, framing and other construction projects on-site
- Interpret client requests and provide mock-ups for clients to approve prior to commencing work
- Build cabinets, vanities, tub and shower surrounds and other projects based on demand
- Frame room additions as needed for client
- Install cabinets, counters and molding
- Follow all code requirements for kitchens and baths in remodeling projects
- Determines amount, type and availability of subassemblies supplies required for assembly.
- Examines samples of assembled to make sure conformance to specifications and instructs workers in methods of correcting defects.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
- Reviews production schedules and confers with department head to define production priorities, availability of raw materials, equipment/ tools and personnel in the assembly process.
- Examines parts during machining assembly & directs workers to change machine setup or work techniques to eliminate defects. In case of defects, reroutes for reworking.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND, Trade test, Vocational Certificate in Carpentry
- 5 years of experience in Furniture company
- Ability to read and write effectively
- Ability to co-ordinate activities in the unit.
