Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc (DSR), the largest Sugar Refinery in the African continent and market leader in the Nigerian sugar refining sector is seeking to recruit experienced and dynamic candidates to support its expansion and market growth plans within the local and West African Market within the next few years.

DSR is recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Position: General Manager, Logistics and Transport

Location:
Any City, NG

Key Responsibilities
  • The primary objective is to manage and lead logistics and distribution function of the DSR to deliver an effective service that meets the commercial requirements of the business.
  • To provide an effective communication link between the Refinery, Distributors and Warehouse.
  • Development and implementation of innovative systems and processes to meet the needs of the business.
  • Utilize all resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.
  • Supervise the management of the company's fleet of trucks.
  • Oversee the procurement of spares and maintenance of the workshop.
  • The measurement and reporting of Logistics and Distribution service KPls to the business.
  • Accountability for the planning and delivery of the Logistics and Distribution operating budget.
  • Management of the Logistics and Distribution team.
  • This position will report to Managing Director.
Qualification
  • A first degree in any discipline with post graduate degree/ diploma in Supply Chain Management.
  • 15 to 20 years relevant work experience at least 8-10 of which should have been at senior management level in FMCG environment.
  • Proven track record of performance in a large reputed company.
  • Good working knowledge of all facets of Contracts, Procurement, local Content, and logistics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.
  • Sound knowledge of large fleet management.
