A Footwear Manufacturing Company involved in the production, sales and marketing of footwear products, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Sales and Marketing

Location:
Lagos
Reports to: General Manager

Essential Functions
  • Develops and implements strategic marketing plans and sales plans and forecasts to achieve corporate objectives for products and services.
  • Develops and manages sales/marketing operating budgets.
  • Generate qualified sales leads and close deals, network and generate sales revenue.
  • Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities including online, electronic media, and direct maiL
  • Develops and recommends positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-terrn market share, Establishes and maintains consistent corporate image through all products lines, promotional materials, and events.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
  • Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
  • Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.
  • Reviews and analyzes sales performances against programs, quotes and plans to determine effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience
  • The candidate must have a first degree or equivalent in marketing, business administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years post-graduation experience, 5 of which should be at a managerial level.
  • Professional Certificate in related field is an added advantage.
  • Sales and marketing experience in a footwear company is desirable but not compulsory.
