The Women's Health and Action Research Centre (WHARC) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization founded in 1993 with a vision to create a world where all people are treated with equal respect and dignity and where women and young adolescents have equality and access to basic reproductive information and services. WHARC works in 18 Nigerian states, with headquarters located in Benin City, Edo state. Job Title: Program Officer (Research & Documentation)

Location: Benin City, Edo state

Working under the supervision of a director, the Program Officer will contribute to the operation of the centre’s research activities, coordinate/manage research projects, produce documentation and timely reports on projects being managed.

The principal responsibilities of she/he include knowledge management, research support, program coordination, monitoring and evaluation.

Person Specifications
  • Possession of Masters in Public Health (MPH) or M.Sc in Public Health.
  • Previous experience working in maternal and child health programs will be an added advantage
  • Ability to use statistical tools for data analysis
  • At least two years’ job and employment experience.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
