Job Title: Accounts Officer (Temp)
Operating Company: Sahara Group Limited
Location: Lagos State
Purpose Statements:
- Account Officer will be responsible for routine accounting activities, documentations, proper filing and archiving of accounting documents.
Key Deliverables
- Maintain the accounts payable and accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all monies
- Assist with preparation of the budget
- Establish and maintain cash controls
- Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements
- Establish and maintain supplier accounts
- Process supplier invoices
- Maintain the purchase order system
- Issue cheques for all accounts due
- Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system
- Assist with preparation of income statements
- Assist with Preparation of balance sheets
- Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements
- Prepare quarterly reports and reports on variances
- Assist with the annual audit
- Maintain financial files and records.
Additional Information
Knowledge/Skills:
- Sound knowledge of double entry principle
- Good knowledge of statutory deductions and their remittances.
- Good analytical skills
- Good organizational ability.
Minimum Qualification / Experience:
- B.Sc in accounting or other relevant field
- PE1 ICAN passed
- 1 to 2 years experience
