Responsibilities
- The Tax Manager will be responsible for managing the tax related forecasting and external reporting responsibilities. He /She would maintain detailed and up-to-date records as required under law
- Implement and monitor adherence to standard operating procedural manuals for all major activities of the tax function
- Liaise with federal and state tax authorities on behalf of the Organisation
- Liaise with external auditors, tax consultants and ensure timely resolution of tax audit issues
- Oversee the preparation of monthly tax reports and tax filing
- Supervise tax compliance and timely payment of tax to appropriate tax authorities in the prescribed mode
- Coordinate audits and legal proceedings concerning tax matters originating from company activity
- Perform research to resolve all tax inquiries and provide appropriate solutions and document all federal and tax returns
- Provision of Corporate Tax Compliance and Advisory Services
- Other ad hoc tax projects as assigned
Requirements
- BSc in accounting, finance, economics or a related field (an advanced degree in tax or law is highly desirable)
- CTA qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of tax experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in the Oil & Gas industry
- Knowledgeable with all aspects of tax law - corporate, individual and partnership taxation
- Must have excellent leadership and people management skills
- Have excellent communication & negotiation skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative
- Team oriented and performance driven
