Group Finance is a corporate function that serves the overall Standard Bank group across a variety of accounting disciplines - internal and external reporting, budgeting and planning, tax, technical accounting and investor relations. It also runs the bank's capital management and regulatory reporting teams and the financial shared services processing centre. Group Finance has its own, dedicated SAP technical support and development team and a new financial systems and process improvement programme team known as Refine.

Position Description
- Assist with the management of Stanbic IBTC Plc regulatory reporting function.
- This includes ensuring compliance with the Central Bank of Nigeria's regulations, in particular the accurate and timely preparation and submission of statutory returns.
Accountabilities
Strategy and objective setting
- To understand the requirements for statutory reporting for the Bank.
- To complete and be responsible for delivering against own balanced scorecard in line with the Finance Division's balanced scorecard.
Reporting
- To prepare and take responsibility for the completion of the necessary statutory returns as allocated to you. Returns include:
- Central Bank of Nigeria returns;
- Remittance of monthly AT and WHT returns; and
- Any other regulatory reports or returns as may be required from time to time.
- To ensure that the information contained in the relevant reports is accurate and complete before submitting them to the Regulatory Reporting supervisor.
- To ensure reports are ready in good time in order that they may be subject to the required levels of review prior to the reporting deadlines.
Day to day management of finance function
- To assist with statutory reporting related queries where needed.
- To complete day-to-day housekeeping of the statutory reporting function.
- To do such other tasks as required by the Manager Regulatory Reporting from time to time.
Other responsibilities
- Standardization of month end requirements, and coordination of inputs from other units.
- Co- facilitate internal/external regulatory audit and CBN examination process by providing information required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- B Comm (Accounting) and in process of obtaining ACA or ACCA qualification or its equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years experience.
- An understanding of the Central Bank of Nigeria's regulations and reporting requirements.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of personal computers and software packages such as MS Office suite applications.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
