Job Position: Behavior Change Communication Advisor

Location: Abuja

Job Description:
  • The Behavior Change Communication Advisor will be based in Abuja and will be in charge of developing and or adapting and adopting Behavior Change Communication materials to encourage uptake of essential medicines through supporting community based organizations.
  • S/he will liaise with BBC Media Trust, SHOPS and other partners involved in ESSMEDS utilization to ensure proper use of media to generate demand by CBOs amongst community members.
  • The post holder will supervise and provide support to the Demand Creation Advisors at state offices.
  • This position reports directly to the Project Manager.
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Sciences, Communications, or related field.
  • 6 years of professional experience in health-related education, communication, and/or community mobilization.
  • Practical field experience in developing countries with demonstrated ability to manage BC activities in a large, complex, health-related project.
  • Extensive experience in Health Communications and Advocacy, with exposure to collaboration with CSOs and community related activities in Nigeria preferred.
  • Considerable knowledge and experience in programming for the greater involvement and participation of citizens.
  • Experience in developing innovative BCC fieldwork working with government, CSOs, NGOs, and communities.
