Job Description
- Develop and support the growth of product sales in the heavy duty sector specifically in power generation.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed allocated unit sales targets.
- Manage and control field-based technical issues within the designated scope and regions.
- Provide support services to fleet customers and advise, investigate and provide support services.
- Prioritize and manage the workloads within designated regions including product quality evaluation.
- Perform field visits where required to troubleshoot company products, while maintaining good customer relations with dealers and end users.
- Visit selected users, monitor, analyze and report performance characteristics of current products and competitor products.
- Liaise with the Sales personnel to discuss field based technical issues and ensure good communication in line with the company’s principles.
- Organise technical trainings to customers on product use, improving its life and best practices.
- Prepare technical reports that can be translated into commercial benefits.
Expectations
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automobile engineering and other relevant field.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years’ experience of maintaining large engines and service support.
- Knowledge of market trends in Africa in the power generation sector.
- Ability to demonstrate commercial acumen/fundamentals of P&L responsibility.
- Experience and proven track record with manufacturing companies or gas engine distribution company.
- Excellent communication skill.
- Good command of written and spoken English language.
