Job description
Egina is a deep offshore development located in block OML130 in Nigeria operated by TOTAL Upstream Nigeria Limited. The development is located 150 km from the coast in 1550 m water depth and includes a spread moored FPSO of 240 POB, associated offloading calm buoy, 2 productions loops connecting six subsea manifold with 21 production wells and 3 injection lines connecting 23 water injection wells. A 20km gas export line ties in to the Akpo export pipeline to Amenam.

To provide medical treatment to site personnel, ensure a high level of personnel health and hygiene and that medical facilities and equipment are properly maintained and available for use at all times.

Activities
  • Manages and Coordinates all Technical/Operational activities, in the areas of Production; Terminal, Maintenance, Wells, Works, Safety, Logistic etc.
  • Ensures safety and security of the operations within the project through the administration of TUPNI HSE procedures.
  • Ensures that life on the site, is conducive for the safe pursuit of the company's operational activities
  • Ensures integrity of assets by ensuring that routine safety tests, statutory inspections, safety drills, and safety training are carried out in accordance with company and statutory regulations.
  • Coordinates operational activities through "Daily Safety Coordination" meeting; and monthly Site HSE committees with all site personnel representatives.
  • Represents the Company for local Authorities and Workers Unions at the site.
  • Is responsible for risk management on project.
  • Is responsible for compliance with the HSE instructions, rules and procedures in force in TUPNI, and, as regards contracted activities, for compliance with the HSE contractual clauses and other documents governing ties with the contractors.
  • Is responsible for compliance with work and health/safety conditions necessary for the protection of persons, protection of the environment and monitoring of environmental performances.
  • Is responsible for ensuring all security systems, plans and measures applied are compliance with the security codes as defined by TUPNI.
  • Is responsible for maintaining or improving the level of cleanliness, safety and integrity of the installations, efficient management of operations.
  • Is responsible for organisation of the necessary work preparation, coordination and follow-up, meetings, review of related risks and interferences, implementation of precautions, verification of the fitness-for-purpose of human and material resources, issue of permits to work, etc.
  • Is responsible for HSE reporting, notification and analysis of any incident or anomaly, with constant concern for transparency.
  • Whenever risk management can no longer be satisfactorily ensured, he is authorised to apply any measure he sees fit to recover control and to halt operations if necessary.
  • Is responsible for emergency preparedness, periodic organisation of exercises, the preparedness of his teams for emergency situations and the continuous availability of the Sites' own emergency means.
  • Ensures that the organisation adopted on the site for emergency situations is appropriate.
  • Initiates the MEDEVAC (EVASAN) procedure when necessary, or takes all possible mean at his disposal to achieve same.
  • Reports regularly on the status of the situation and on his needs for assistance, if any.
  • Carries out any other duties/projects that may be assigned by the Hierarchy.
Required skills
Education
  • Degree in relevant discipline
Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in operational Exploration and Production activities linked to Deepwater technology and Subsea Production Systems.
  • Strong knowledge in offshore codes & standards
Skills
  • Knowledge of French will be very useful
  • Good level of English necessary
  • Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment
