We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Civil Engineer

Organization: NASCON Allied Industries Plc
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities
  • Coordinate activities of sub-contractors, crafts people and operatives at construction sites
  • Check plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations, ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
  • Agree price of materials making cost-effective solutions and proposals for projects
  • Manage, monitor and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client or architect.
  • Liaise with consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
  • Liaise with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws
  • Communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress
  • Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors
  • Oversee quality control, health and safety matters on site
  • Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other issues that may arise.
Requirements, Qualification & Experience
  • B.Sc Degree, or M.Sc degree Architecture, Building Design or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Civil Engineering or Project Management role
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Environmental/ industry analysis
  • Relevant professional certifications e.g. Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (NICE), The Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) The Nigerian Academy of Engineering is an added advantage.
