We are recruiting to fill the vacant position below:
Job Title: Individual Life Underwriting Officer - Life Operations
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Quotation: Prompt processing of quote requests from both external and internal clients
- Processing E-channel Transactions
- Issuing CBN Mortgage proposers and Certificates
- Renewals: Sending out of renewal notices; preparation of endorsement, preparation of life assurance premium certificates
- Ordinary/Medical/Financial Underwriting: to peruse proposal forms as a prudent underwriter; refer clients to hospitals after receiving payment of deposit premium; send copy(ies) of received medical reports to lead re-assurer for underwriting opinion and on receipt of medical opinion, treat appropriately as would be advised by the lead re-assurer
- Processing of due payments e.g., medical fees, co-assurers proportion of premium, e.t. c.
- Updating/Maintaining Applicable Registers for both regulatory and office usage
- Preparation of reports – weekly and as will be required
- Adherence to teams SLA or operational manual
- Backing up for other sub-units when necessary e,g, payouts, group, e.t.c.,
Job Requirements
- First Degree (i.e. HND/B.Sc/B.Ed/B.A/e.t.c).
Experience:
- A minimum of four years of experience in Life Assurance Underwriting.
