ANIK Stores is a chain of retail stores with multiple shop locations in Lagos Island, Lagos State with more than 20 years in experienced existence. Primarily focused on importation, wholesale and retail distribution of souvenirs, corporate gift items, kitchen utensils and electronics.

We are recruiting to fill the position of:

Job Description
  • Sales officers promote products and services to customers and negotiate sales with the aim of maximizing profits.
  • They are the key point of contact between an organisation and its clients: answering queries, offering advice and introducing new products.
Major Job Tasks
  • Sales executives are the key point of contact between an organisation and its clients: answering queries, offering advice and introducing new products.
Their work includes:
  • Organising sales visits
  • Demonstrating, showcasing and presenting products
  • Establishing new business
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Attending trade exhibitions, conferences and meetings
  • Reviewing sales performance
  • Negotiating contracts and packages
  • Aiming to achieve monthly or annual targets.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including but not limited to the ability to professionally interact with others, and present ideas, proposals and results to management.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work as assigned by Inventory Manager, including tracking and maintaining inventory, and properly completing required audit functions.
  • Working knowledge of warehousing processes and procedures, warehouse equipment operation, and general mechanical maintenance.  Educational training will also be given consideration.
  • Proven ability to work well in a team based environment to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Ability to build and maintain good communications and relationships with others to build trust and influence others.
  • Fosters a spirit of teamwork both inside and outside the work group.
  • Communicates in a clear, concise, understandable manner both orally and in writing.  Listens carefully and asks questions to understand the views, concerns and comments of others. Openly expresses ideas and opinions. Stays accessible and approachable. Asks for feedback and suggestions from others.
  • Work hand in hand with Sales Officers to keep shops in order and customer ready.
  • This position’s working days are Mondays to Saturdays.
Supervisory Responsibility:
  • None.
Education and Experience
  • Ordinary National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Business, Procurement, Logistics, or related discipline preferred.
  • One year related work experience required. Experience in a Market environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Seeing: Must be able to read reports and use computer.
  • Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workers.
  • Talking: Must be able to express and exchange ideas by means of spoken words.
  • Sitting: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must be able to stand and walk distances of up to ¼ kilometres.
  • Bending/Reaching/Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to bend, reach, stoop.
  • This is a safety sensitive position: will have to pass a physical fitness test, and background check.
Work Environment
  • Work is typically performed inside a series of stores in a typical market setting.
  • Proper training will be supplied and adherence to all safety and operational procedures will need to be followed.
  • Tight spaces and market noise.
  • Light exposure to outdoor weather conditions including wind, rain and humidity.
