Job Description
- The job position is a senior management position and reports to the Registrar of the Board
- The job holder will be responsible for the entire accounting department of the Board and will be required to prepare operational budgets, financial reports, update the registered members accounts, deal with all statutory masters relating to taxes and other statutory returns.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills Requirements
- Candidates must possess a B.Sc/HND and Master's Degree in Accounting plus at least seven (7) years post qualification cognate experience or B.Sc/HND and Master's in other Accounting related courses or Social Sciences plus ten (10) years post qualification experience
- At least three (3) years of the experiences must be in management capacity or comparable senior management position dealing with leadership and management responsibilities
- Candidates must have excellent information technology (IT) skills with specialty in spreadsheet application, microsoft office and accounting software.
Professional Qualification
- In addition, candidates must also have any of the following professional qualifications: ICAN, ANAN, ACCA or any other relevant accounting professional certifications
Successful candidate must:
- Be upto date with changes in the government's rules and regulations as it relates to accounting procedures and financial reporting
- Demonstrate experience with budgeting and financial management reporting processes
- Possess working knowledge of corporate reporting and operational frameworks of an organization
- Have excellent leadership skills with integrity, good written and oral communication skills, resourceful, flexible, team player, self-motivated and dependable.
