Job Title: Finance Manager
Job Description
The Finance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all accounting functions in the company. He or she will oversee safeguarding of organization assets and fiscal record keeping. Other duties include preparation of reports for Senior Management, the board of directors, external users, and government agencies. The Finance Manager will ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, legal, regulatory, and organization procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of the company’s financial direction and management.
- Championing of strategy and business-planning process for the company.
- Providing necessary financial information to management.
- Manage, develop and control of finance and accounting functions.
- Maintain books, prepare accounts, generate reports, prepare and manage budget as well as effective internal cost control system.
- Perform financial analysis of company results, review and interpret results, identify opportunities and highlight risks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of Degree and an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA),
- Minimum of 5 years experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly proactive individual with a first rate technical expertise gained within a rapidly changing business environment.
- Must have strong leadership skills, high levels of personal energy and the.
- Highly numerate and analytical with a practical approach to problem solving.
- Must have the drive and commercial acumen to succeed.
- Proficiency in computer applications is necessary.
- FIRS compliant.
- Able to provide evidence of continuous training with respect to audit.
- At least 10 years in practice.
- ICAN certificate is an advantage.
