Job Description
  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute towards the development of the business portfolio by focusing on new customers, clients as well as the opening of new markets in given area parameters.
  • Execute the market analysis to understand the latest drivers and trends thereby recommending innovative techno-commercial business solutions to customers.
  • Negotiate deftly and secure favourable contracts and agreements with preferred customers (locally) for the expansion of business.
  • Spearhead the entire business operational plans and procedures, product development, customer service standards and delivery strategies in a given area parameters.
  • Manage all trade account receivables and liaise on a regular basis with Account Receivable Manager and Financial Controller.
  • Maintain the track for daily invoicing vs. target revenue to assess linearity and identifying potential upsides or issues vs. monthly sales target
  • Ensure adherence to company’s standards on quality and quantity and implementation of the company’s Environment, Health and Safety standards and any other task as shall be given to you by your line manager.
Expectations
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Marketing or any other relevant discipline.
  • 5-10 Industrial sales work experience ranging from in Oil & Gas, Lubricants, Bitumen, Steel, Cement, Construction, Chemicals, Tyres, and Batteries.
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies is a plus.
  • Ability to work under pressure and less supervision.
  • Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as a team player.
  • Ability to work in, and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
