Nigeria LNG Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company on May 17, 1989, to harness Nigeria's vast natural gas resources and produce Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) for export. The company has a wholly-owned subsidiary, Bonny Gas Transport (BGT) Limited, which provides shipping services for NLNG and Nigeria LNG Ship Manning Limited which provides personnel for all of NLNG’s Vessels.Our LNG is delivered to ports in cities around the world.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Process Control Engineer

The Job:
The appointee will be required to provide with assistance from senior process control staff, process control support in his area of support through control and safeguarding application tuning, testing and monitoring, and troubleshooting/improvement of the entire NLNG plant in support of a safe, reliable, high capacity and efficient operation.
The Duties:
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist in providing day to day process control support to Operations, including Base Layer process control, Advanced Process Control (APC), Safeguarding strategies, and Turbo-machinery control
- Assist in maintaining high availability of process control systems by tracking controller mode and controller compliance, monitoring performance of all process control applications and identifying applications that can be improved via plant changes.
- Identify plant improvements by identifying process control opportunities, prioritization based on a risk matrix, initiating plant changes / projects as needed to implement.
- Assist in ensuring sustainability of long term process control support by manpower planning and staff development, training / job growth needs of staff, maintaining appropriate balance of staff skills and experience, develop procedures to carry out work safely and consistently and identifying new technologies and developments in the process control area to utilize at NLNG.
- Assist in supporting Corporate Expansion Projects by Providing process control support to Resident team for turbo machinery & complex control strategies utilizing lessons from plant operation to provide support to ensure seamless integration of project into plant production and supervise process control representatives to assist functional tests, start-up & performance test runs
- Assist in ensuring sustainability of long term process control support by developing technical presentations for process control department and providing On-the-job training opportunities to other process control staff
Qualification/Experience
The right candidate should:
- Possess a bachelor's degree (minimum of Second Class Upper) in Chemical Engineering, Physics or Process control.
- Possess a minimum of 7 years post-NYSC experience; out of which minimum of 4 years must have been spent in process control in a reputable organization, preferably an Oil & Gas company.
