Nigeria LNG Limited was incorporated as a limited liability company on May 17, 1989, to harness Nigeria's vast natural gas resources and produce Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) for export. The company has a wholly-owned subsidiary, Bonny Gas Transport (BGT) Limited, which provides shipping services for NLNG and Nigeria LNG Ship Manning Limited which provides personnel for all of NLNG’s Vessels.Our LNG is delivered to ports in cities around the world.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Inventory Analyst

The Job:
The appointee will be required to deliver fit-for-purpose acquisition transactions for all bought-in direct and indirect materials (excluding feed gas) in assigned spend categories required that enable Company safely and reliably fulfil its contractual (production & delivery), statutory, administrative and social obligations. The Duties:
The duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Monitor replenishment of inventory materials against key controls and criteria, (- i.e. consumption pattern, inventory policy, future business requirements, storage and shelf life considerations etc.), to validate that each request meets basic standard for meeting demand without compromising value.
  • Prepare proposals including those for additional stock, stocking level variation, adjustments, write-ons/offs and other inventory related transactions, incorporating general and specific controls (- including HSE, technical, risk and commercial aspects) applicable to ensure availability of fit-for purpose materials, within allocated categories.
  • Release replenishment requests, and analyse consumption trends for both slow and fast moving materials and recommend most economic replenishment quantities that deliver value to Company and ensures timely delivery of fit-for purpose materials.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate inventory management strategy to minimise acquisition lead time, and stock value for items and improve stock availability within assigned group, without compromising service level.
  • Support the resolution of all issues hampering the timely delivery of fit-for purpose materials and liaises with buyers, expediter and customers to ensure that accurate orders status and system information is available
  • Execute the annual inventory plans within their business area, by working with internal customers to define requirements, maximize value and deliver materials required for operational/activity plans implementation.
  • Identify obsolete, surplus and moribund items for disposal and liaise with Senior Inventory Analyst in initiating disposal process.
  • Carry out continuous inventory review management with respective user to ensure that stock holding level is at optimal, attend material status meeting with customers and facilitate effective customers interface meeting to achieve a two-way information and knowledge flow on status of stock items, consumption levels and progression of non-moving spares. Qualification/Experience
The right candidate should:
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree (minimum of Second Class Upper) in Engineering. Membership of The Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) UK or Nigeria, or Institute of Supply Management (ISM) US or equivalent at a diploma or certified level is an advantage.
  • Possess a minimum of 7 years post-NYSC experience; out of which minimum of 3 years must have been in a materials handling or control line role in a reputable organization.
