Job Title: System Administrator (Agency Banking Application)
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for monitoring all agency banking platform status: servers, network and storage area network.
- Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.
- Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.
- Provide support for application configuration and upgrades, and problem analysis and resolution for application problems, in conjunction with the users and external application or service suppliers where necessary.
- Provide guidance and support for application users to ensure that the agency banking application is maintained to the highest possible standard with maximum levels of attainable productivity and efficiency
- Coordinates and communicates with all responsible parties and user groups for major system outages, notifications, and enterprise updates.
- Examine application functionality and performance and provide information about how it can be improved.
- System and resource capacity planning and management
- Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude Ensure immediate escalation of major issues to Head of department.
- Support off-hours and weekend shifts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years mission critical IT system administration experience.
Skills:
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 in an enterprise environment. Windows server 2012 R2, IIS, Windows 10
- Have 1 + years development experience with Java Strong knowledge of NET framework
- Possess background in providing advanced technical support for Windows Servers, and enterprise applications.
- Basic computer networking knowledge
- Attention to detail, ability to follow directions and troubleshoot, strong organization skills and self-motivated
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
