Responsibilities
- The CCO is a group role and is the officer primarily responsible for overseeing and managing regulatory compliance issues within the organization.
- The responsibilities of the position include leading enterprise compliance efforts, designing and implementing internal controls, policies and procedures to assure compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations and third party guidelines; managing audits and investigations into regulatory and compliance issues; and responding to requests for information from regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 10 years relevant experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ managerial experience
- Relevant professional qualifications
- Possess high ethical standards and honesty
- Attention to detail and ability to notice actions that may result in a liability
Additional Experience preferred but not required:
- MBA or other advanced business degree
- Experience working for a Big 4 or large national accounting firm.
