Job Description/Responsibilities
- The Information Technology Manager is a group role. Ideal candidate will lead the IT department, and will be responsible for group-wide systems and information.
- With technology playing an increasingly important role in the development and success of our businesses, it’s critical that IT teams are highly skilled and capable.
- Qualities such as accountability, crisis management and an ability to prioritise are essential for our IT Manager.
- In addition, should be able to maintain and expand our IT capabilities and must be able to do so in a cost-effective way;
- Keep the executives up to date on recent technologies that could help the company remain competitive;
- Develop innovative network infrastructure that reduce downtime and lower maintenance costs; Preserve assets by implementing disaster recovery, back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or any related discipline.
- Should possess relevant professional qualifications.
- At least 7 years post qualification experience.
- At least 2 years in IT management role.
- Relevant experience in computer operations management, systems implementation, supervision of technical personnel, architecture, security/compliance, business-wide strategic planning and budgetary responsibility.
Additional Experience preferred but not required:
- MBAor other advanced business degree.
