Job Title: FTTH Maintenance Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job Type: Permanent
Required Experience: 3 -4 years experience in related field
Age: Not more than 28 years
Minimum Qualification: HND in Electronic Engineering or related field, Upper credit
Responsibilities:
- Perform fiber cable testing and installation including specs in losses, BER and line characteristics
- Handling interfaces with clients, engineers and customers
- Handling work logistics
- Manage tasks and achieve targets and performance requirements
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of fiber cable technologies , structure and handling
- Experience in fusion splicing and fiber cable laying management with preference for Certified technicians
- Ability to perform fiber cable testing and installation including specs in losses, BER and line characteristics
- Familiar with materials for splicing elements, termination connecters, distribution panels etc.
- Familiar with OSP line schematics as necessary
- Familiar with XDSL services, technologies and requirement
- Experience in service access provisioning, testing and troubleshooting
- Understand primary and secondary network access topologies
- Knowledge in copper access cabinets layout, frames and line verifications
- Networks access (VLAN) prevision certification is preferred
- Communication and interface skills with customers and service operators
