Job Description/Responsibilities
- We are seeking an innovative and driven business development manager to join our growing team.
- Build client engagements by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business deals.
- Conduct research to identify new markets and strategies to address the needs of targeted prospective clients (Federal and state governments, public and private companies and individuals).
- Arrange business meetings with prospective clients and present proposals for IT projects.
- Develop and test unique marketing and advertising strategies for the IT industry.
- Promote the company’s products and services.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by implementing a user-friendly feedback system.
- Brainstorm with management and the software development team to identify IT solutions and services that would appeal to new clients.
- Keep records of contacts/leads and revenue.
- Develop trainees into valuable salespeople.
- Stay up to date on company best practices, policies, products, pricing, and promotions.
- Attend networking events.
Job Requirements
- Proven working experience and track record as a business development Specialist in an IT company or a similar role.
- Great networking skills.
- Goal-oriented, organized team player with good negotiation skills.
- Possession of analytical and mathematical skills.
- Ability to prepare sales budgets and forecasts.
- Ability to analyze data and sales statistics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Comfortable in both leadership and team-player roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
Preferred Candidate:
- Career Level: middle level.
- B.Sc/BA in Business Administration, marketing or related field. MBA is a plus.
- 3+ years’ experience as a business development Specialist.
