Job Title: Business Development Specialist

Job Description/Responsibilities
  • We are seeking an innovative and driven business development manager to join our growing team.
  • Build client engagements by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business deals.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and strategies to address the needs of targeted prospective clients (Federal and state governments, public and private companies and individuals).
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients and present proposals for IT projects.
  • Develop and test unique marketing and advertising strategies for the IT industry.
  • Promote the company’s products and services.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by implementing a user-friendly feedback system.
  • Brainstorm with management and the software development team to identify IT solutions and services that would appeal to new clients.
  • Keep records of contacts/leads and revenue.
  • Develop trainees into valuable salespeople.
  • Stay up to date on company best practices, policies, products, pricing, and promotions.
  • Attend networking events.
Job Requirements
  • Proven working experience and track record as a business development Specialist in an IT company or a similar role.
  • Great networking skills.
  • Goal-oriented, organized team player with good negotiation skills.
  • Possession of analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to prepare sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Ability to analyze data and sales statistics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable in both leadership and team-player roles.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel).
Preferred Candidate:
  • Career Level: middle level.
  • B.Sc/BA in Business Administration, marketing or related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a business development Specialist.
